The Treasure of Loch Lomond (aka The Treasure in the Lake) is an episode from The Goon Show. It is the twenty-fourth show in the sixth series (149th episode overall). The show was recorded at 9.30pm on Sunday 26 February 1956 (TLO 98661). The recording took place at the Camden Theatre, Camden Town, London.

BBC Audiobooks Synopsis:
Six hundred years ago a Spanish galleon sank in a Scottish loch with treasure aboard - so much for the clumsy, heavily laboured plot! And so begin Neddie Seagoon's adventures north of the border when he claims his McHeritance. But that suave villain Grytpype-Thynne has other plans - involving Neddie, that raving idiot, drinking the loch and exposing the booty. Not so fast.
Neddie feels faint, Henry's sporran gets soggy and Bluebottle arrives via the bathroom tap.Thynne must be stopped but can Neddie return the water to the loch in time! By bucket!
Plus a special rendition by Adolphus Spriggs of I'm Walking Bockwards for Christmas.

Technical
Originally recorded on TLO 98661 (15 ips ¼" tape recorded at Broadcasting House).
This tape survived in BBC Transcription Services, and was edited for the Pick of the Goons release; the music items were changed because the original recording suffered from intermittent wow - fortunately the originals were kept, although other cuts were not. The version released on The Goon Show Compendium Vol 4 was compiled from a combination of this particular tape, the TGS master tape and a domestic tape recording of the original transmission.[1]
