Adams's appearance in the role was confirmed first by Neil Gaiman and later by M.J. Simpson in their respective biographies of Adams. Douglas Adams, as best as can be determined, did not appear on television before his two appearances in Monty Python's Flying Circus, nor did he appear on television again until after The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy became famous in the late 1970s. The image is being used in the biographical article on Douglas Adams for informational and educational purposes. |
