At this point in time the show was called Crazy People.

Show 2 is an episode from The Goon Show (Crazy People). It is the first show in the first series. The show was recorded at 5.45pm on Sunday 3 June 1951 The recording took place at Aeolian I, 135–137 New Bond Street, London.

The first British public broadcast was on the Home Service on Monday 4 June 1951 at 7.45pm (in London and Northern only). It reached a peak listenership of 0.4m. The show did not have a repeat schedule yet.

The show starred Harry Secombe, Peter Sellers, Michael Bentine, Spike Milligan, the Stargazers, Max Geldray, the Ray Ellington Quartet with Stanley Black and the Dance Orchestra. The show was produced by Dennis Main Wilson and was announced by an uncredited Andrew Timothy.
