The show had now changed its name from Crazy People to "The Goon Show, featuring those crazy people…"

This show featured a pre-recording session on Sunday, 17 February 1952 at 6.30pm (the same day as the Show 21 main recording) to accomodate Ray Ellington's schedule (SLO 3627a). The main show recording session was Sunday, 24 February 1952 at 9.15pm. Both the pre-recording session and the main recording session were at Aeolian I, 135–137 New Bond Street, London.

The first British public broadcast was on the Home Service on Tuesday, 26 February 1952 at 10.01pm (except the Midlands). It reached a peak listenership of 0.7m.

The show's repeat was broadcast at 12.15pm on Saturday, 1 March 1952 on the Light Programme to an audience of 0.4 million listeners.
