BBC Audiobooks Synopsis
The year 1956 is missing! Seagoon just wanted to buy a cheap calendar from Eccles, but all the calendars for that year have gone. Seagoon scours the lingth, length and longth of England. But where can he find 1956! The whole of England is puzzled; so too is Parliament and the Prime Minister. Grytpype-Thynne and Moriarty are also on the trail - especially as there's a cash reward for finding it. But there are problems: what does the lost year look like and where is it? All roads lead to Africa, but a hundred miles inland, Grytpype-Thynne steals Neddie's cash and leaves him desperate for water. Can Seagoon find water in time? Is Tarzan Bluebottle really a mirage? Has anyone got a record of Harry Secombe singing On with the Motley? And will Eccles ever find the North Pole?
