The first British public broadcast was on the Home Service on Tuesday 18 November 1952 at 9.30pm. It reached a peak listenership of 1.8m. Its first repeat on the Light Programme at 4.30pm on Sunday 23 November 1952 increased the peak listernship to 4.7m. As of 14 November 2024 no copies of this show are known to exist.
