The series 2 shows didn't have 'official' episode names per se, but for ease of reference using the show number and Handsome Harry sketch name is to differentiate them.

The show had now changed its name from Crazy People to "The Goon Show, featuring those crazy people…"

Show 23 (aka Handsome Harry Secombe goes home) is an episode from The Goon Show. It is the sixth show in the second series.

The main show recording session was Sunday, 2 March 1952 at 9pm. The recording session was recorded at Aeolian I, 135–137 New Bond Street, London.

The first British public broadcast was on the Home Service on Tuesday, 4 March 1952 at 9.30pm. It reached a peak listenership of 2.2m.

The show's repeat was broadcast at 12.15pm on Saturday, 8 March 1952 on the Light Programme to an audience of 0.7 million listeners.

Show Trivia

This show was planned to have Harry pre-record Beggar in Love at 6pm for playback into the main show at 7.30pm, but this was cut. The recording was eventually done on 9 March 1952, at 6pm and included in Show 24 instead.
