Miles married in 1931 actress [[Josephine Wilson]], with whom he had two daughters and one son,<ref name=debrett/> the racing driver [[John Miles (racing driver)|John Miles]]. She co-founded and was involved actively with Miles in the Mermaid Theatre.<ref name=debrett/> She predeceased him on 7 November 1990.
